Now you can capture and record temperatures anywhere in
the world! Our new family of IPDAS series temperature-input
modules connects directly to temperature sensors on one side
and to 10Base-T Ethernet on the other. These new modules are
highly similar to our USB-based UMDAS TC and UMDAS TH and
wireless UWDAS TC and UWDAS TH units (see our website).
Our IPDAS TC connects directly to eight common
thermocouple types and speeds your data to the PC or the
Internet via standard Ethernet connections. Depending on
which thermocouples you attach, it can cover a temperature
range from –346°F to +3308°F. Two on-board microprocessors
automatically linearize the data with the appropriate NIST
linearization coefficients. In addition to the eight
thermocouple channels, you get eight digital I/O channels that
can be programmed for any useful function, including alarms.
Our IPDAS TH provides all the functionality of the TC
model, and adds the ability to accept RTD, thermistor, and
semiconductor temperature inputs (key specifications are
shown at left; complete details are available on our website).
RTD and thermistor inputs are also linearized with the on-
board microprocessors.
Both IPDAS TC and TH modules have a web interface that is
built into the firmware — it does not need to be installed on
your PC! A URL is printed on the side of the module which can
be used to view current temperature measurements and
channel data, or to configure hardware options via the web
browser on your PC. Mozilla Firefox
™
2.x and Internet Explorer
®
6.x or 7.x have been tested and work well with these modules.
Other browsers that support JavaScript should also provide
excellent communications.
