PCIDAQ 2012: 20 MHz, 12-bit DAS from CyberResearch

Our PCIDAQ 2012 series gives you a 20 MHz A/D

conversion rate combined with 12-bit resolution! The PCIDAQ

2012 has four 20 MHz A/D converters. Each one can sample at up

to 20 MHz to the on-board memory buffer for a total throughput

of 80 MHz to the 32 Ksample buffer. The PCI interface provides

full bus-mastering control of data transfers:

• It increases the data transfer rate far beyond what was

possible with an ISA bus board.

• It transfers data directly to PC memory without inter-

vention by your PC system. Your CPU can be running your

application, analyzing data, and displaying it to the screen,

rather than devoting 100% of its resources to managing

data transfers, as it previously had to do.

The PCIDAQ 2012 is ideal for a range of applications such as

image digitizing, vibration testing, video capture analyzers, or

baseband signal digitization.

In order to implement such demanding applications, however,

you need complete control of your triggering and sampling options.

The PCIDAQ 2012 combines its large 32 Ksample FIFO buffer

(128 Ksamples on our 2012A model! ) with sophisticated analog and

digital triggering options to help you collect your data.

• Pre-trigger mode lets you collect data prior to triggering

• Middle-trigger mode saves the buffer ahead of the trigger

event, but continues to collect data after the trigger as well.

• Post-trigger mode starts collecting data after the trigger event.

• Delay-trigger mode counts down after a trigger event,

then begins to collects data.

PCIDAQ 1200 and 1400 boards share a common architecture and such features

as: a 1024-sample FIFO buffer, up to 110kHz sampling rate, up to 2 analog output

channels, up to 40 digital I/O channels, 3-channel counter/timer, Software/

programmable pacer/external-pulse triggering, and Auto-scanning channel selection.

The PCIDAQ 1410 features full bus-mastering DMA data transfers at up to 110

kHz. A bus-mastering board increases the data transfer rate far beyond the scope

of an ISA-bus board. It transfers data directly to PC memory without intervention

by your PC, freeing your CPU to analyze and display data. The PCIDAQ 1400 also

features two 12-bit D/A channels and 32 TTL digital I/O lines.

Our PCIDAQ 1200 cards offer 12-bit or 16-bit resolution and a 100 kHz

sampling rate. A 100 kHz board can accurately sample signals with frequencies up

to 50kHz. The PCIDAQ 1200’s on-board low-pass filter only passes through signals

in the desired frequency range, helping to minimize error. The boards also feature

a 12-bit analog output (D/A) channel, 32 TTL-compatible digital I/O lines (16 digital

inputs, 16 output lines), plus 8 additional DIO lines (4 in, 4 out) for interfacing to

external devices.
